Gershon Distenteld is co-head of Fixed Income Securities at Alliance Bernstein and a frequent guest on CNBC. And behind the scenes, he is fighting for changing the way yeshiva education gets paid for. He believes that the current system, where parents pay tuitions that are way beyond the reach of typical families is a “Big Bubble” waiting to explode.
In this casual conversation, we discuss what’s broken with the system and how things have to change in order for it to become sustainable in the long term.

Hi Aharon
Another topic discussion well done!
Its true that the bubble has already burst, and the damage to our children and families is already happening. We need more awareness and to admit it.
Thats your gift.
Its true that as a parent we strive for perfection and I wish that could change too.
Id like to suggest an additional angle on the same topic.
The kids who are already born and are not going to yeshiva because of lack of funding.
I understand there are many ( thousands?) of kids in “traditional” families that would be happy to send to yeshiva if they could afford it.
So those kids go to public school!!!!
That too is a direct fallout of the same crisis.
Hatzlacha!
